The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India, which is played every year between March and May. The IPL 2022 was the fifteenth edition of the tournament, which was held from March 26 to May 29, 2022 in India.
In IPL 2022, a total of ten teams participated, including Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals, Gurajat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.
Gujarat Titans emerged as the champions of the IPL 2020 in their very first appearance in the tournament, defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final by seven wickets. This was the first time Gujarat participated in the tournament and won the tournament in their very first participation.
During the tournament, there were some standout performances by players such as Jos Buttler, who scored 863 runs for Rajasthan Royals, and Yuzvendra Chahal, who took 27 wickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
