West Indies All-Rounder Fabian Allen Joins Sudurpaschim Royals for Nepal Premier League

Kathmandu, Nepal – The Sudurpaschim Royals have announced a significant acquisition for the upcoming third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), securing the services of West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen. The 31-year-old left-handed batter and left-arm spinner is set to bring a wealth of T20 experience to the Nepali franchise circuit.

A Proven Performer in T20 Cricket

Known for his explosive hitting in the lower order and his crafty spin bowling, Allen is a seasoned campaigner in the global T20 landscape, having featured in numerous franchise leagues worldwide. His experience and all-round capabilities are expected to provide a major boost to the Royals' squad.

Allen has represented the West Indies in 20 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 42 T20 Internationals (T20Is). In ODIs, he has scored 200 runs and claimed seven wickets, showcasing his dual threat. His T20I record is even more impressive, with 298 runs and 24 wickets to his name, underscoring his value in the shortest format of the game.

Across all T20 cricket, Allen boasts a comprehensive record. In 178 matches, he has accumulated 1,634 runs at a striking strike rate of 139.89, including 106 sixes. With the ball, he has taken 109 wickets, proving his consistent impact in both facets of the game.

Journey Through International and Franchise Cricket

Allen made his first-class debut for Jamaica in 2016 and quickly rose through the ranks, earning his call-up to the West Indies ODI and T20I squads during their tour of India in 2018. After a brief hiatus from cricket in early 2022 due to personal reasons, he made a successful return to the sport in August of the same year.

Since his return, while international opportunities with the West Indies have been limited, Allen has remained a sought-after talent in various T20 leagues. He has plied his trade in prominent competitions across the Caribbean, UAE, South Africa, Canada, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, further cementing his reputation as a reliable and dynamic T20 specialist.
