Bumrah to lead India, Rohit ruled out of 5th test

Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been named vice captain. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the news via twitter.

"Rohit Sharma, captain, Indian Cricket Team is ruled out of the rescheduled fifth Test against England to be played from Friday. Rohit underwent a RAT Test on Thursday morning and returned a positive result for COVID-19," read a BCCI statement.
India are currently leading the series 2-1. A win or a draw in the 5th test will make sure that India win the series.
India are playing India are playing England in the 5th Test match that had to be rescheduled from last year following COVID outbreak in the Indian camp. Virat Kohli was leading the side back then and India are leading the series 2-1.
India will also play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs after the test match.
