Rohit Sharma tested positive for COVID-19

The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed the news via twitter. As per BCCI, Rohit was tested positive following a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on Saturday. He is currently in isolation at the team hotel and is under the care of the BCCI Medical Team.

India are playing England in the 5th Test match that had to be rescheduled from last year following COVID outbreak in the Indian camp. Virat Kohli was leading the side back then and India are leading the series 2-1.
India will also play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs after the test match.
