In the final match of the 3rd ODI series between Bangladesh and Sri LankaPlayed at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo, Bangladesh invited Sri the host Sri Lanka to bat first after winning the toss. Sri Lanka made 280-9 in its 50 overs.

Sri Lanka openers Danushka Gunathilaka and Tharanga got off to a good start, scoring 76 off 65 deliveries for the first wicket. Kusal Mendis made a cautious 54 to top score for Sri Lanka before Perera's 40-ball knock helped overcome a mid-innings setback to reach a challenging total.

Gunathilaka made 34 off 38 balls before being caught by Mahmudullah Riyad off spinner Hasan. Tharanga departed, having scored a run-a-ball 35, after being bowled by seamer Taskin Ahmed to make it 87-2. Both Chandimal (21) and Milinda Siriwardana (12) were run out.

In reply, Bangladesh was bowled out for 210 in 44.3 overs.

Kulasekara struck in the first over of Bangladesh's chase and two more early wickets put the tourists under too much pressure to fully recover. Shakib Al Hasan hit 54 off 62 balls and Mehedi Hasan scored 51 off 71.Kulasekara opened his account by having Tamim Iqbal (4) caught and bowled. Iqbal had survived earlier in the over when both wicketkeeper Dinesh Chandimal and captain Upul Tharanga fielding at first slip failed to react to a sharp chance.

Sabbir Rahman was caught behind without scoring, leaving Bangladesh on 10-2. Fast bowler Suranga Lakmal trapped Mushfiqur Rahim lbw for a duck as the tourists sank to 11-3. Shakib and Soumya Sarkar quickly added 77 runs for the fourth wicket and threatened a fightback. Sarkar hit a six and three boundaries for his 44-ball 38. It ended when he was deceived by a flighted, sharp-turning delivery from off spinner Dilruwan Perera and got stumped by Chandimal. Three quick wickets followed and Bangladesh fell to 127-7. Hasan's half-century offered late resistance but couldn't prevent the inevitable.

Seam bowler Nuwan Kulasekara took 4-37 after Thisara Perera hit a rapid 52 to propel Sri Lanka to a 70-run win over Bangladesh in the third one-day international on Saturday and a 1-1 draw in the three-match series.
