The previous season had already generated substantial revenue. According to CAN's figures reported by The Kathmandu Post, the second NPL generated gross revenue of more than Rs 473.6 million, with expenses of about Rs 219.6 million.

The growth in broadcasting, streaming, sponsorship and ticketing interest suggests that the NPL is developing beyond simply being a cricket tournament.
