Raju Basnet appointed coach of Korean National Team

Former national cricketer and coach of Nepali Women's national team, Raju Basnet has been appointed as the head coach of Korean national team.

Basnet signed a one year contract with Korean Cricket Association. According to Raju Basnet, he will receive 50 lakh Korean rupees as salary and 20 lakh Korean rupees as allowance that totals to around 7 lakh Nepali rupees.

With his appointment, Basnet has become first Nepali to coach national side of country other than Nepal. He represented national team of Nepal from 2003 to 2006. He was the coach when Panchakanya Tej lifted Everest Premier League (EPL) earlier.

Along with Raju Basnet, two more assistant coaches have been appointed who will assist Basnet. He has to land on Korea not later than March 10, according to the contract.
