The Premier League 2022/2023 season has finally ended with Man City crowned the title. It is now the time to name the Premier League Team of the Season. As usual, Man City dominated the team with four of the players included.

Arsenal and Newcastle have also a couple of players included. Here is the list of my starting XI which I believe has been crucial in their team's success.

Nick Pope

The English goalkeeper may not have the most clean sheet to his name but still has been the best goalkeeper in the 22/23 Premier League season. The England international has been a crucial part of a staggering defense for Newcastle in the Top four finish.

Kieran Trippier

After returning from Atletico Madrid, The Newcastle's Captain has been influential in the journey from a relegation battle to the UEFA Champions League for the Magpies Newcastle United Player of the Season has been probably the most consistent player for them over the season.

Due to outstanding defensive contributions of the backline, Newcastle United has conceded the fewest number of goals in the premier league.

William Saliba

After spending a couple of seasons on loan in France, the French defender has established himself in the Arsenal backline. The young center-back was the heart of Arsenal's defense, thanks to his composure and calmness in the backline.

Arsenal were eight points clear at the top before his season-ending injury. Suddenly, Arsenal started to struggle defensively and wasn't able to handle pressure without him in the defensive lineup.

Ruben Dias

The Portuguese has been the pillar of Man City for the course of the last few seasons. Even Though he suffered an injury at the beginning of the season, the presence of him alongside Akanji has made the team unbeatable.

Thanks to the Center back's contribution, Man City has the best defensive numbers alongside Newcastle in the premier league.

Pervis Estupinan

Estupinan's inclusion may come as a  surprise for many over the likes of Zinchenko and Luke Shaw.  The left-back's presence in the defensive as well as attacking setup has been top-notch for Brighton.

A Huge Gratitude to De Zebri's excellent managerial season and Estupiann's important role alongside his Ecuadorian International teammate Caidedo, The Seagulls will be playing in European Football for the first time in their history.

Rodri

The Spaniard has been the engine of Man City's Midfield after the departure of Fernandinho. There was a huge debate between Rodri, Casemiro, and Partey for the best CDM in the premier league this season.

But, the comparison has faded away due to Rodri's extraordinary consistency over the season. For me, he is by far the best CDM not in the premier league but all of the world.

Kevin De Bryune

The Belgian International’s inclusion in POTS isn’t even a question for any of us. The attacking midfielder tops the list for most assists(16) this season. The Man City star’s play-making ability is second to none in the league.

De Bruyne is by far the most consistent player in the premier league for the past few seasons and is every striker's dream partner.

Martin Odegaard

Arsenal's captain has been tremendous all season for the Gunners. The Norwegian International is Arsenal’s top scorer in the league with 15 goals alongside Martinelli.

Putting a staggering number of goals in the Midfield is no joke. But still, the midfielder's contribution just fell short to overcome Man City in the title race.

Bukayo Saka

The Arsenal Starboy has been a standout performer all season before the end of the season. The English right winger has the most goal contribution(25) for the Gunners in the premier league.

Thanks to the 21-year-old's magnificent season, Arsenal will be playing in the UEFA champions league for the first time since the 2016/17  season after finishing second.

Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur main man became only the second player to score 30+ goals in two different seasons after Alan Shearer. But sadly, the one-man army couldn't help Spurs to reach any of the European competitions for the next season.

The England captain came short of 6 goals to fierce striking rival Haaland by 6 goals and became the only player to not win a golden ball after netting more than 30 goals.

Erling Haaland

22 year old Norwegian goal-scoring machines broke the record for most goals discord in the premier league season(36) and equalling the goal contribution record to Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry(44). He was also titled Premier League and Young Player of the season.

Haaland's monstrous season helped Man City win the Premier League and are on course to win the Treble to only be the second team to do so after Man United.
