Players to watch out from every Team in Asia Cup

The 16th edition of the Asia Cup is all set to start from 30th August as strong Pakistan side will play against Nepali team. India, Srilanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will also be competing in the tournament.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Srilanka. Srilanka are the defending champions.

Five of the teams are full members of Asian Cricket Council including India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Nepal on the other hand, qualified for the first time in Asia Cup after winning 2023 ACC Men's Premier Cup.

India

Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja

India will be entering into the competition with a number of big impact players in their lineup. The experience of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli at the top of the order will be of huge importance to this team. Everyone will be keen to watch the comeback of Jasprit Bumrah after a significant period of time. Bumrah played the T20 series against Ireland and lead his side to series win. Bumrah looked fit and good enough in the series. The capabilities of Ravindra Jadeja as genuine allrounder will hold key for India's chances in this Asia Cup. 

Pakistan

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi

Pakistani side is one of the top contenders to win the tournament. The team looks solid and balanced and can be very dangerous as the tournament progresses. Skipper Babar Azam will hold the key in batting department while Shaheen Afridi will lead the pace attack. No teams will have answers to Afridi's bowling if he is in his flow.

Nepal

Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee

The young side is participating in Asia Cup for the first time ever in history. Sandeep Lamichhane will be the one to watch out from this team. Sandeep has done decent in the franchise leagues in international level and has been a consistant performer for Nepali national side as well. Kushal Malla is one another name that the cricketing world will be looking at. He has impressed everyone with his attacking approach with the bat in hand while he is more than handly with the ball as well. Dipendra Singh Airee, as we all know will serve the team with this batting, bowling and fielding and is a key member of this team.

Bangladesh

Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman

Skipper Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman will be the key factor as far as Bangladesh's chances in this tournament is concerned. The experience of Musfiqur Rahim will be of huge importance to this side.

Afghanistan

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Rashid Khan, the superstar with the ball in hand will be the key player to watch out from Afghanistan. The world class spinning duo of Rashid and Mujeeb Ur Rahman will provide challenge to any batsman. As far as the batting department is concerned, huge hope is on opening batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Mohammad Nabi is another big name in the squad. Afghanistan will have big faith in Nabi whose contribution with both bat and ball can be a decisive factor on how Afghanistan's future proceeds in the tournament.
