Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to host a ceremony to honor three former legends in September. Former skippers Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan and Sahid Afridi will be awarded with prizes in the event.

Newly-appointed Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi has said that the legendary cricketers Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, and Shahid Afridi will be given a farewell in September.“The three former captains and great players will be honoured by the cricket board in a special award ceremony,” Sethi said in an interview.

According to details, the cricket board has started preparations to host the World XI team. A meeting was also held between the officials of PCB to consult on the arrangements and ticketing.

Misbah and Younis decided to call an end to their dynamic and illustrious international cricket careers following Pakistan’s 2-1 win over West Indies in the three-match series in May.

Younis Khan became the first Pakistani batsman to score 10000 Test runs. His batting averages at a brilliant 52.05 and is also the best by any player from the country and the third best by any batsman from Asia.

Known for his power hitting, Shahid Afridi hung up his boots from international cricket in February, having played 27 Test matches. The all-rounder notched up a career total of 8,064 runs with the highest individual score of 124 and added 395 wickets to his kitty.
