Pakistan beat Srilanka to face England in the semi final

Pakistan will now face England in the semi finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 after they beat Srilanka in their last group match by 3 wickets. Sarfraz Ahmed struct an unbeaten 61 to guide Pakistan to ensure a place in the semi final.
Chasing a modest target of 237 runs, Pakistan were once struggling at 6-137. Pakistan started well with Azhar Ali (34) and Fakhar Zaman (50) as they put on 74 runs for the first wicket. But quick wickets brought Srilanka back in the game. Sarfraz Ahmed(61) put on partnerships with Fahim Asraf and Mohammad Amir as Pakistan chased down the target on 45th over. Nuwan Pradeep finished with the figures of 3-60 for Srilanka.
Earlier the day, Srilanka were put into bat after Pakistan won the toss. Niroshan Dickwella struct 86 ball 73 for Srilanka while Angelo Mathews scored 39 runs. Kushal Mendis (27) and Asela Gunaratne(27) got starts but couldn't convert into big score. Junaid Khan and Hasan Ali picked up 3 wickets each for Pakistan.
Sarfraz Ahmed was named Man of the Match for his match winning performance with the bat.
Pakistan will now face the home side England in the semi finals. The other semi final will be between Bangladesh and the defending champions India.
