Nepal lose to India in a competitive match. India defeated Nepal by 23 runs in the ongoing19th Asian Games on Tuesday.
With the defeat, Nepal has been eliminated from the quarterfinals of men's cricket. India has entered the semi-finals.

Dipendra Singh Airee scored highest 32 runs for Nepal in which he hit 4 sixes from 15 balls. Kushal Malla scored 29 runs off 22 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes while Sandeep Jora scored 29 runs off 12 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 sixes. Kushal Bhurtel scored 28 runs off 32 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six. Karan KC remained unbeaten on 18 runs.
Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi took 3 wickets each for India. Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets and Sai Kishore picked up a wicket.
Earlier, India won the toss and scored 202 runs losing 4 wickets from 20 overs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal gave an excellent performance when other batsmen of India could not move much. Jaiswal scored a century against Nepal in 48 balls. He completed his century with the help of 8 fours and 7 sixes.
Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for 25 runs, Tilak Verma scored 2 while Jitesh Sharma returned to the pavilion for 5 runs. Rinku Singh batted explosively and scored 37 runs and Shivam Dube scored 25 runs.
