Hong Kong Womens thrashed Nepal Womens by 6 Wickets

The 2nd match of the Asian Qualifiers 2016 between Nepal Womens and Hong Kong Womens was played at Mission Road Ground in Hong Kong. Skipper Rubina Chettri won the toss for Nepal and choose to bat first. The openers for Nepal, Jyoti Pandey and Sita Rana Magar added 8 runs together for the 1st wicket where Jyoti scored 1 run and Sita scored 4 runs. The highest partnership in the Nepali innings is of 16 runs between Nirmala Kumari Shahi and Indu Verma for the 3rd wicket. Nirmala top scored for the Nepal side of 18 runs of 32 balls. Rashmi Chaulagain scored 11 runs of 19 balls with 1 four and skipper Chettri scored 12 runs of 14 balls with 1 six. Except Rubina, Nirmala and Rashmi other batsman didn't even touch the double digit mark and allout for 77 runs in 19.2 overs.
For Hong Kong side, Mariko Hill (3.2-0-16-2), Chan Ka Man (4-1-11-2) and Chan Sau Har (4-0-17-2) took 2 wickets each and Kary Chan (1-0-2-1) took 1 wicket.
In the 2nd innings, Hong Kong opener Sze Wan Yip top scored 33 runs of 39 balls with 3 fours before she was dismissed by Nirmala Shahi. Kary Chan scored 6 runs, Yasmin Daswani scored 13 runs of 19 balls and finally the Mariko Hill and Shanzeen Shahzad scored notout 10 runs of 11 balls and 11 runs of 11 balls respectively. Hong Kong Womens reached the target in just 16.3 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. For Nepal, Nirmala Kumari Shahi took 2 wickets in the 4 overs giving away 14 runs and Karuna Bhandari took 1 wicket.
Captain of Hong Kong Women Cricket, Mariko Hill was adjudged Man of the Match for taking 2 wickets and scoring notout 10 runs.
