Mumbai beat Bangalore despite Badree's hattrick

Mumbai Indians came out victorious against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chinnaswamy Stadium in a low scoring close contest. Mumbai chased down a target of 143 despite losing half their sides just for 33.

Earlier, Mumbai won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. Chris Gayle scored 22 runs from 27 balls while Kohli was brilliant on his comeback match as he completed his half century. RCB couldn't hit even a single boundary in the last 5 overs of their inning. Mumbai bowlers bowled well as McClenaghan bagged 2 wickets and the Pandya brothers shared a wicket each.

Mumbai started off poorly as they lost 4 wickets for just 7 runs on the board. Stuart Binny picked up the wicket of Jos Butler in the second over of the innings. Badree got the wicket of Parthiv Patel, Mitchell McClenaghan and Rohit Sharma in consecute deliveries in the very next over to complete his hattrick. Mumbai fell into deeper trouble Nitish Rana went back to pavilion to leave the team struggling at 33-5. A sensible partnership between Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya kept Mumbai in the game as they added 93 runs for sixth wicket. Pollard got out after scoring 70 runs off 47 balls. Pandya brothers finally took Mumbai to victory with 4 wickets and 11 balls remaining.
