The year 2017 is certainly the best for the Afghani cricket, players and for fans as well. This year Afghanistan cricket has a proud reason to smile, celebrate and be happy. Afghanistan star all-rounder Mohammad Nabi and 18 years old leggi star bowler Rashid Khan became the first player to be selected from Afghanistan in the IPL 10 with a whooping amount of 30 lakhs and 4 crore respectively.

Recently, Afghanistan Cricket team outplayed Ireland and won the T20I series by 3-0 which was held in Greater Noida, India. Mohammad Nabi 89 runs of 30 balls, Mohammad Shahzad 72 runs of 43 balls and Rashid Khan 3/28 in the 3rd T20I helped the Afghanis to clean sweep the series.

Now the another reason to celebrate is players from Afghanistan were snapped up in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft ahead of the 5th season of the T20. All-rounder Mohammad Nabi was picked up by the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots for $90,000 and Rashid Khan was snapped up by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for $60,000.
