Moeen Ali's hattrick helped England to register a 239 runs victory over South Africa in the Third Test at London and take a 2-1 lead in the series. Moeen Ali created history as he became the first bowler to take a hattrick at The Oval.

Dean Elgar's brilliant 136 went in vain as South Africa were bowled out for 252, Moeen (4-45) sneaking in and taking the final three wickets to fall and completing an historic hat-trick across two overs.

After resuming from 117/4 on the fifth day, South Africa were bowled out at 252 runs chasing a target of 492 runs. England put on 353 runs in first innings with Ben Stoke's 112 runs and bowled out South Africa for 175 runs in their first innings.

The fourth and final Test begins at Old Trafford on Friday.
