On 22 September, 2016 India will play the historic 1st test match against the New Zealand at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. It will be India 500th test match since last 86 years. Another milestone day for India will be 250th test match at home in their 2nd test match against the New Zealand at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

India finest test skipper Tiger Pataudi sets the benchmarks for the India team to register their 1st win overseas in test match in 1967 in New Zealand and India win their 1st test series triumphs in West Indies and England in 1971 lead by the skipper Ajit Wadekar.

On Thursday India will be the fourth country to play 500th test or more and rest are England, Australia and West Indies. India will play a three match test match series against the New Zealand.
