Lalit stars as Nepal defeat Kenya by 6 wickets

Nepal defeated Kenya by 6 wickets in the second match of the ongoing tour to UAE as Lalit Singh Bhandari shined with the ball. Nepal had lost the first practice match to USA by 5 wickets.

Nepal restricted Kenya for 110 runs in the first innings. Lalit Singh Bhandari was the pick of the bowlers for Nepal as he finished with the figures of 46-4. Aarif Sheikh picked up 2 wickets while Karan KC, Sagar Pun and Sandeep Lamichhane shared a wicket each.Rushab Patel was the top scorer for Kenya with run a ball 27 while Alexauma Obandascored 25 runs.

Chasing a target of 111 runs, Nepal didn't start off pretty well. Nepal had lost 3 wickets for just 29 runs as Dilip Nath (0), Sagar Pun (1) andAnil Sah (13) were out cheaply. SkipperSharad Vesawkar and Dipendra Singh Airee added 78 runs for the fourth wicket to take Nepal to victory. Sharad remained notout on 31 runs off 50 balls with 3 fours along with Aarif Sheikh(4). Dipendra was runout for a 35 ball 46 with 7 fours and a six.

The match was an opportunity for Sagar Pun to justify his selection but he failed to score runs once again. Players like Dilip Nath, Anil Sah were given chance by resting seniors men Paras Khadka and Gyanendra Malla.
