Lack of Preparation cost Nepal: Second Consecutive Loss

The 6th match between Nepal Womens and Srilankan womens has been played at Asian Institute of Technology Ground, Bangkok (neutral venue). Srilanka womens who had won the toss decided to field first.

The opener for Nepal Jyoti Pandey and Sita Rana Magar contributed 12 runs in 3.5 overs for the 1st wicket. Sita Rana Magar was caught by Pardasani Weerakkody of Sugandika Kumari delivery and made 4 runs of 8 balls. For Srilanka, Sugandika Kumari and Inoka Ranaweera took 3 wicket each and Oshadi Ranasinghe took 2 wicket.

On the 2nd innings, Srilanka openers Yasoda Mendis and Chamari Atapattu Jayangani added 3 runs on the board for the 1st wicket in 1 over. Skipper Chhetry dismissed Chamari Atapattu Jayangani for 1 run of 3 balls and was caught by Indu. The 2nd wicket partnership went for 18 runs of just 2.2 overs before Karuna Bhandari dismissed Yasoda Mendis for 4 runs of 7 balls. Srilanka skipper Hasini Perera scored quick 17 runs notout of 14 balls with 1 four and 1 six and Dilani Manodara scored 1 run of 3 balls and remained notout. Srilankan Womens chased the target easily in just 4.3 overs losing 2 wicket. For Nepal Karuna and skipper Rubina took 1 wicket each.
