KL Rahul who was appointed to lead the Indian team against South Africa for a 5 match T20I series has been ruled out due to an injury.

Left handed wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant will now lead the home side. Hardik Pandya will be the vice captain of the team.

Rahul's injury can be a huge blow to the men in blue as they have already rested the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Along with Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav will also miss out in the T20I series after getting hit on his right hand while batting in the nets last evening.
