Khawaja, Agar Back For Mirpur Test

Usman Khawaja and Aston Agar are set to play their fist competitive game of cricket against Bangladesh tomorrow in Mirpur.Usman Khawaja will play after seven long months after the left-hander was recalled alongside left-arm spinner Ashton Agar to Australia's XI for the first Test on their Qantas Tour of Bangladesh. Khawaja and Agar, who spent their test series in India by just offering drinks to his team mates. Khawaja was replaced by Shaun Marsh against India series and also was left out in IPL.
Since January, Khawaja has not played any international matches and will be slotted in at No.3 with captain Steve Smith moving down to No.4, while Agar will partner Nathan Lyon in a two-pronged spin attack. Khawaja averages less than 20 on the subcontinent but skipper smith said "He’s worked hard in the nets the last week and hopefully we can see him have a big impact in this series."
Agar has not played Test cricket since his surprise debut series, the 2013 Ashes in England, when at the age of 19 he made a memorable 98 batting at No.11 on debut."I think he's a real talent," Smith said. "We've seen him play some really good innings - obviously his debut, where he scored 98, was quite phenomenal at number 11. He's got a lot of potential with the bat and he's a great fieldsman as well. He's a good package and an exciting player for the future."
