India strengthen semifinal chances after defeating Bangladesh

India have strengthened their chances of the semi-finals of ICC T20 World Cup after they defeated Bangladesh by 5 runs (D/L Method) in a nailbiting finish. Chasing a target of 151 runs in 16 overs for victory, Bangladesh managed to score only 145 runs after losing six wickets.

With this win, India has now 6 points and have climbed to the top of the group.

Bangladesh is in third position with 4 points. India's next match is against Zimbabwe while Bangladesh will face Pakistan.

Bangladesh needed 20 runs in the last over to win. Bangladesh needed 7 runs for victory in last ball of the match and 6 runs to tie the match.

After the game was interrupted by rain, Bangladesh were set a new winning target of 151 runs in 16 overs for victory. It started raining at the end of the seventh over.
