Riding on the back of impressive bowling of Avesh Khan, India defeated South Africa by 82 runs in the fourth T20I to level the series 2-2.

India have won 3rd and 4th match to make a dramatic comeback in the series after losing first 2 matches.

Chasing a target of 170 runs to win, the visiting side were bowled out for just 87 runs. Russie van der Dussen scored 20 while Quinton de Kock scored 14 runs.

Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers for India as he finished with the figures of 4-18 from 4 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 2 wickets as Harshal Patel and Axar Patel shared a wicket each.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. India posted 169/6 from 20 overs.

Player of the match Dinesh Karthik was the top scorer with 55 runs to his name. Karthik faced 27 balls to hit 9 fours and 2 sixes. Hardik Pandya scored a 31 ball 46 with 3 fours and 3 sixes.

The series decider 5th T20I will be played at Bengaluru on Sunday.
