India in control at the end of day 4 against Srilanka

India have managed to put on 171 runs in their second innings for the loss of one wicket after being dismissed for 172 runs in their first innings. After the end of fourth day, India lead Srilanka by 49 runs. Srilanka scored 294 runs in their first innings in rely to India's first inning total of 172 runs.

Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul put on a 166 runs for the first wicket in the second innings for India to take control in the game. KL Rahul is batting notout on 73 runs while Shikhar Dhawan was out after scoring 94 runs.

India was bowled out for 171 runs in their first innings as Suranga Lakmal finished with the figures of 4-26. 52 runs from the bat of Cheteswor Pujara was the only significant score for the Indian side. Srilanka in their first innings managed to put on 294 runs with Rangana Herath top scoring with 67 runs. Former skipper Angelo Mathews scored 52 while Lahiru Thirimanne contributed 51 runs for the Srilankan side.
