FPL GW8 2023/24 | TOP TRANSFER TARGETS
October 5, 2023 | Diwas Lamichhane 7.1K ReadsGW8 is set to begin from October 7 where I am going to find you finest replacement for your non performing assets. So, lets begin!
TRANSFER OUT | TRANSFER IN |
Saka (8.6m) / Rashford (8.8m) | Son (9.3m) / Maddison (8.0m) |
If you have either of Saka or Rashford in your team, its time to sell them since Spurs have a very good run of fixtures next with Luton Town for GW8 where both Son and Maddison can provide much better returns.
Saka came off injured in the midweek game vs RC lens in the champions league. The 22 year old had picked up knocks in the last two games in the premier league but yet Arteta made him start both of the times. There is a huge possibility that Saka is going to be replaced vs the City fixture in GW8. To add up, his coming run of fixtures aren't that great too.
Rashford has been underforming in the premier league until now. With more better options to choose ahead of him transferring him out with a free transfer left to bring in either one of Son or Maddison would be great for present and future gameweeks too.
Maddison is on many set pieces like corners and freekicks whereas Son looks very much decent in the central striker position. It might be huge loss for you if you haven't got even one of them in your FPL team at the moment.
TRANSFER OUT | TRANSFER IN |
Botman (4.7m) | Cash (4.9m) |
Newcastle defender Botman is set to be out for at least two gameweeks where you can transfer in Matty Cash against him for Aston Villa have really good run of fixtures nest plus their performance in the GW7 has been a top notch.
Cash provides decent number of attacking returns and with easy fixtures coming up next, the chances for cleansheet points are high too.
TRANSFER OUT | TRANSFER IN |
Mbeumo (6.8m) | Diaby (6.7m) |
Diaby is providing returns consistently where he seems to be nailed on with Aston Villa's good run of fixtures next. Mbeumo hasn't performed to the expectations since last 2 or 3 gameweeks.
Mbeumo is a penalty taker for Brentford and could possibly get some returns but Diaby seems to be more nailed on with the Villa attack this season.
TRANSFER OUT | TRANSFER IN |
Wissa (6.0m) / Morris (5.5m) | Watkins (8.0m) |
Many of the FPL managers might have brought in Morris for Luton Town double fixture in the GW7 but its time to transfer him out. Wissa hasn't delivered such performances recently as of the staring gameweeks of the premier league and with Manchester United next, he doesn't seem to be an asset worth holding for.
Watkins scored a whooping hatrick and 2 assists in GW7 against Brighton to help Aston Villa deliver a 6-1 victory over Brighton. He is proving to be a magnificent FPL asset as he is consistently providing decent returns since the start of the season. If you have got some money left on the bank it is obvious that he is much required for your team from GW8 onwards.
Here are some other players you can have a punt on and can be a good differential for your FPL team:
Neto (5.7m) | Consistently providing returns for Wolves with only 5.9% ownership |
Turner (4.0m) | Playing against Crystal palace in GW8 whose main attacking players Eze and Eduoard out injured and Luton Town in GW9 |
Ward-Prowse (6.3m) | Very good run of fixtures from GW10 onwards where his expected returns proving him worth a punt. |
Pedro Porro (5.0m) | Looks a decent fulback for Spurs with many of the managers going for a cheaper option Udogie and has an ownership of only 7.3% |
Bowen (7.3m) | Providing returns consistently with bigger teams too and has good run of fixtures starting GW10 |
Thats it for today! Hope you have a wonderful Gameweek 8.
