Armed Police Force (APF) Honoured the Players with Awards

Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) club felicitated the players and coaches through an award ceremony as Player of the Year Award on 8th January, 2017. As per Nepal APF Club, the club has won 27 Bronze Medals, 30 Silver Medals and 42 Gold Medals in International Tournaments and APF players had won 579 Bronze Medals, 583 Silver Medals and 714 Gold Medals in National Tournaments.

The former International Volleyball Player IG Durja Kumar Rai has honoured the six players in the program. IG Durja Kumar Rai said, "The players always made us proud with the performance and they had put their best efforts to contribute a lot to our institution as well for the Nation." He further added, "We have got the best athletes with us and they have proved their caliber to meet our expectations and we will continue our support in the development of sports in the country."

The honoured Players are: Saraswoti Rana (Boxing), Purna Bahadur Lama (Boxing), Sunil Lama (Karate), Saraswoti Chaudhary (Volleyball), Ranjan Bista (Football) and Anjan Bista (Football) has been honoured with the Most Valuable Player Awards. The coach Deepak Shrestha of Karate has been named as Coach of the Year.

Likewise, APF artists Anita Ranjitkar and Rajib Bajracharya along with AGNI Group Director Arjun Sharma, General Secretary of All Nepal Football Association Dhirendra Pradhan, Chaudhary Traders Pramod Chaudhary, RJ Sports Ramesh Rupakheti has also been honoured in the program.
