AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers : Nepal take on Kuwait today

Nepal is all set to compete against strong Kuwait today in the second match of Group A under the third round of AFC Asian Cup 2023 selection. The match will commence on June 11, 10:00 PM NST at the Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Nepal and Kuwait will be looking for their first victory in the election. Nepal lost to Jordan by 2-0 in the first match while Kuwait was stunned by Indonesia 2-1 at home.
Nepal will enter the field against Kuwait looking to perform better. However, it will not be easy for Nepal to win against a strong Kuwait.
Goalkeeper Deep Karki, who made an impressive debut against Jordan, is likely to be the first choice. Captain Navyug Shrestha, Manish Dangi, Ayush Ghalan and George Prince Karki will also have a crucial role to play if Nepal are to show an improved performance.
Meanwhile, the home team Kuwait will also be looking for the first victory by defeating Nepal. Nepal, which is in Group A of the selection, is at the bottom without any points. Kuwait is also in third place without any points.
Jordan tops the list with 3 points, followed by Indonesia. Nepal will play the last match against Indonesia on 31st May.
From the selection of the third round, the top team of each group will advance to the Asian Cup. The top five finishers will also compete in the main competition in China in 2023.
