Adam Voges and Xavier Doherty Announced Retirement Today

The 37 years old right-hand batsman Adam Voges and the 34 years old slow left-arm orthodox bowler Xavier Doherty announced their retirement today. Both the players will be retired from International cricket and state level cricket at the end of the domestic Sheffield Shield season.
Adam Voges has 2nd highest batting average among the players who had played minimum of 20 Test matches. Adam has an average of 61.87 with 1485 runs hitting 5 hundreds and 4 fifties in his 20 Test matches. Voges has played 31 T20I matches in which he has 870 runs at an average of 45.78 with 1 hundred and 4 fifties.

An exceptional batsman and leader, Adam has represented his country in exemplary fashion not only with his run-scoring feats, but also in the manner with which he conducts himself both on and off the field.”

Left-arm spin bowler Xavier Doherty has played only 4 Test matches and taken 7 wickets with best of 3/131. Doherty has played 60 ODI matches and taken 55 wickets at an average of 40.43 with the career best of 4/28. Cricket Australia stated, "Doherty will continue to play the domestic Big Bash T20 tournament in the summer."
