30 percent refunded by BCCI

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) both have been suspended from playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) for 2 years by Justice Lodha as punishment because of their owners involved in betting. Now, BCCI has refunded the 30 percent of the franchise fees to both the teams which they have paid for IPL 2016. Rajasthan Royals (RR) recieved the amount of Rs 8.4 cr. and Chennai Super Kings got Rs 11.4 cr. from the BCCI.

On April, Super Kings and Royals appealed to the Bombay High Court for not returning the franchise fees by the BCCI and BCCI decided for out of court settlement to the franchise teams which was held on last month. Under the Protest, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got the refunded fees last month as first instalment of Rs. 114114000.00 and Rajasthan Royals (RR) recieved the first last month of Rs. 84018000.00 which was paid to BCCI before.
