Real Madrid’s most decorated superstar, Karim Benzema is leaving Real Madrid as announced by the club officially. With 647 appearances and 353 goals, the Madrid main man leaves the club after 14 years. The one time Ballon D'or winner Karim Benzema has been Madrid’s most lethal factor in the recent years and replacing him will be difficult for Madrid, but let us look at some of the options Madrid has for replacing the Legend.

The Spurs’ Superstar

Everybody’s first choice in replacing Karim Benzema is the English superstar- Harry Kane. Harry Kane has been a prominent factor for Tottenham Hotspurs and without Harry Kane, the club could’ve finished lower mid table. Kane has just one year left on his contract and according to sources, he is keen in coming to Real Madrid. Harry Kane is all the talisman Real Madrid needs, but other than his goal scoring capability, Kane can play as a deep lying striker and penetrate the defence with the help of Madrid’s starboy Vini Jr. The only problem with Kane is the transfer fee, i.e 100 million. With Madrid already spending a good amount of money on Jude Bellingham, it will be safe for them to save up and go for less expensive options.

The Masked Killer

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is another player than can be an option for Real Madrid, Osimhen scoring 30 goals in 34 games this season is impressive. With Osimhen coming to the club, he can pretty well link up with Vini JR the way he linked with his teammate “Kvaradona” in Napoli. Osimhen is a more younger option than Kane but the problem is, he has had just one good season with Napoli and risking big amount for a young star who has just shined for some seasons is risky and Real Madrid have learnt their lessons from Luka Jovic. Osimhen however, has a goal in every 123 minutes in Serie-A which might just do the job for Madrid board to go get him.

Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is one player Perez and the board love a lot, but the fans they dont. Kylian has been very vocal about his love and desire towards Madrid but has also chosen money over Madrid in the last few years. Kylian Mbappe, if he comes to Madrid will be treated as the superstar of the team. Kylian Mbappe is the most ideal option for Madrid but the fans cant face another “tic tac” session.

Internal replacements

Another option can be changing Rodrygo to a striker and buying a good right winger. Rodrygo as a 9 is excellent, even though he prefers playing as a number 10. Rodrygo is very good with the ball and is a decent finisher, he can play the Benzema role for Madrid quite well. Alvaro Rodriguez is another young star in Madrid’s academy and buying an old striker like Kane and side by side developing Alvaro seems like a good option for Madrid.

Other than the options mentioned above, Madrid could bring players like - Kolo Muani, Joselu, Firmino, Richarlison, etc but their profile would not fit right with Madrid and the Los Blancos could have some trophyless years. But as backup options to the main striker, Joselu and Firmino are decent options.
