Shakib Ensures The Victory To Level The Series With Both Bat & Ball

After the Test series draw by 1-1, Bangladesh draw the T20I series against Sri Lanka on Thursday. Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 45 runs in the 2nd T20I to level the two-match series 1-1 in Colombo after they were beaten by six wickets in the first match on Tuesday.
Mustafizur Rahman claimed 4-21 while Shakib Al Hasan bagged 3-24 as Bangladesh dismissed Sri Lanka for 131 runs in 18 overs after scoring 176-9 at R. Premadasa Stadium. Shakib provided Bangladesh its first breakthrough in the second over of Sri Lanka's innings. Kusal Perera, who was instrumental in Sri Lanka's win in the first match, was out for 4 bowled off the edge. Shakib also got Dilshan Munaweera (4). Captain Upul Tharanga (23) and Kapugedera began an attempt to rescue the innings with a 21-run stand but Tharanga's dismissal on 40-3, and two more wickets on the same score ruined Sri Lanka's chances.
Chamara Kapugedara struck highest 50 runs for Sri Lanka, facing 35 balls. Bangladesh's win spoiled a brilliant hat-trick by the home side's veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga, who finished with 3-34 runs. Bangladesh was 169-5 in the 19th over when Malinga bowled out Mushfiqur Rahim (15), Mortaza (0) and trapped Mehedi Hasan (0) lbw to compete his first T20 hat trick.

Shakib made highest 38 runs for Bangladesh while openers Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar chipped in with 36 and 34 runs respectively.
