Nepal's Path to Qualifying for the 2026 World Cup

With the end of this World Cup, we shall be discussing which teams will participate in the tenth edition, to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
The seven teams that reached the Super Eight stage of the ninth World Cup (South Africa, England, Afghanistan, Australia, America, West Indies, Bangladesh), the hosts (India and Sri Lanka), and three teams that did not make it to the Super Eight but are high in the rankings (Pakistan, New Zealand, and Ireland) have directly qualified.
The remaining eight teams will qualify for the World Cup through continental qualifiers. Two teams each will qualify from the Asia, Africa, and Europe qualifiers, while one team each will qualify from the Asia Pacific and America qualifiers.
How will the Asia Qualifiers work?
A total of six countries will participate in the Asia qualifiers. Nepal and Oman have directly secured their spots because they participated in the ninth edition of the World Cup. The remaining four nations will come through sub-regional qualifier stages.
There will be two sub-regional qualifiers. The top two teams from each sub-regional qualifier will secure a place in the main qualifiers. The top two teams from the Asia regional qualifiers will qualify for the World Cup.
How can Nepal qualify for 2026 T20 World Cup?
Nepal participated in the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup held in the West Indies and America. To participate in the tenth edition of the World Cup, Nepal must be among the top two teams in the Asia regional qualifiers.
