Mitchell Starc hospitalized

Team Australia received a big blow as the pacer Mitchell Starc has been hospitalized following a deep laceration to his left shin during a fielding stint. The pacer will undergo further examinations and tests in order to find out whether the deep cut has led to any internal damage.

Starc collided with some training equipment during Australia's practice session at Hurstville Oval in Sydney on Thursday and was taken by ambulance to St George Hospital, where he underwent surgery and received approximately 30 stitches.

Australia will now have to find an answer to injuries of Shaun Marsh and James Faulkner along with Starc.Marsh will not feature against South Africa due to a fractured finger while Faulkner has been ruled out due to a calf injury.
