India take a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series by defeating England by 3 wickets in the first ODI at Pune.
Chasing a huge total of 350, India were rescued by a 200 run partnership between Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav. At one stage, India were struggling at 63/4 after the wicket of MS Dhoni. Virat scored 122 runs whereas Kedar contributed 120 runs in just 76 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes. Hardik Pandya made sure that India got to home with his cameo of 40(37).
Earlier, England posted a huge total on the board with almost everyone contributing with the bat. Jason Roy, Joe Root and Ben Stokes got to their half centuries while Eoin Morgan, Jos Butler and Moeen Ali got start but couldn't convert into big ones. 2 wickets each for Pandya and Bumrah while Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadaja picked up a wicket each.
Kedar Jadhav is judged Man of the Match for his brilliant knock with the bat.
