India set final clash with Pakistan on 18th June

India outplayed Bangladesh in an one sided semi final to set a ICC Champions Trophy final clash against Pakistan on 18th of June. India chased down a target of 265 with Rohit Sharma's ton and Virat Kohli's unbeaten 96.

Earlier the day, Bangladesh posted a total of 264-7 from 50 overs. Tamim Iqbal looked good for his 70 runs at the top of the order. Mushfiqur Rahim played well for his 61. Mashrafe Mortaza scored 25 ball 30 at the end as Bangladesh finished on 264-7. Kedar Jadhav was the pick of the bowlers for India as he finished with the figures of 2-22. Jasprit Bumrah (2-39) and Bhuvneswor Kumar(2-53) picked up 2 wickets each while Ravindra Jadeja picked up a wicket.

India in reply, was in total control of the chase throughout the innings. An opening stand of 87 between Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma set the tone for India. After the fall of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma added unbeaten partnership of 178 runs to guide India to a victory.

Virat Kohli completed his 8000 runs in ODI during the innings. Virat is now the fastest to 8000 ODI runs. On the other hand, Rohit became the second fastest batsman to hit 200 sixes in international cricket.The six that brought up the century was the only six Rohit hit during his innings and it was his 200th six in the International cricket. Thus he became only the 6th Indian and the 22nd player overall to hit 200 sixes across all formats at the International level. Rohit took 242 innings to achieve this feat while Sahid Afridi took 214 innings to achieve the feat.
