Generally, the cricket history has seen the duo of brothers and sisters playing from the same team but this time its the duo of father and son. The 42 years old left-handed unorthodox batting stance batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul and his 20 years old son who bats left-hand as an opening batsman Tagenarine Brandon Chanderpaul played from the same team Guyana on Sunday.

Both father and son scored fifties in the same match on Sunday batting for Guyana in the regional four-day tournament held at Sabina Park in Jamaica in the first class game. The duo had batted earlier for Guyana too. Tagenarine opened the innings and the father Shivnarine came in third drop and added 38 runs for the 4th wicket in 12.2 overs as their team scored 262 runs in 1st innings against the Jamaica team who posted 255.

In 2012, while playing for Gandhi Youth Organization against Transport Sports Club, the father-son duo had batted and smashed hundreds in a non-class fixture where they added 256 runs.

Shivanarine debuted in Internation cricket in the year 1994 and the birth of Tagenarine was in the year 1996.
