The former Nepal coach Pubudu Dassanayake believes Nepal Cricket Team has the potential to be on the top side along with Associates like Ireland and Afghanistan, if the current ongoing issues are settled in the administration. He further added, "I am satisfied where Nepal is right now but I would be much more happier to take this team to another level, if the issues were right in the Cricket Association."

Dassanayake told in a recent interview in USA,"I am glad to bring Nepal Cricket Team from Division Four to Division One position in these 4-5 years of span". For Nepal to reach the next level, they are really in need of good background of domestic structure along with the hardwork in the field. It will take time for Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to hire a coach but Nepal has some of the great players like captain Paras Khadka and other seniors too and they know exactly how hard it is to push Nepals Cricket to another level. Currently Dassanayake is shortlisted for the job of coach of USA.
