Vaibhav Sooryavanshi player profile
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, aged just 14, became the youngest ever centurion in men's T20 cricket when he cracked 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur in IPL 2025. His hundred, which came off 35 deliveries, was the second-fastest in IPL history. Sooryavanshi had made his IPL debut earlier in the season against Lucknow Super Giants when an injury ruled RR captain Sanju Samson out. On debut, he hit his first ball, off Shardul Thakur, for six on his way to an innings of 34 from 20 balls.
He made history at the IPL 2025 auction when, at 13 years old, he became the youngest to earn an IPL deal. It was RR who bagged him for INR 1.1 crore. By then, he had already represented India Under-19, for whom he had cracked a 58-ball century in a four-day game against Australia Under-19. He was also part of the side which reached the final of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in 2024, where he scored 176 runs at an average of 44. Sooryavanshi also has a triple-century to his name - an unbeaten 332 - in the Randhir Verma Tournament, an Under-19 competition in Bihar.
