- Trent Boult has been a part of the IPL since IPL 2015 as a new-ball strike bowler plying his trade for a succession of teams. He has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

- He has won two IPL titles so far, with SRH in 2016 and with MI in 2020. He was also a part of the RR side that finished runners-up in IPL 2022.

- Boult has been among the top fast bowlers in the IPL since IPL 2020, playing almost all the games for his teams - he opted not to take a New Zealand Cricket central contract in August 2022 and has been more active in T20 leagues since then.

- IPL 2020 was easily Boult's best edition, when he bagged 25 wickets for the victorious MI side in 15 games, averaging 18.28 and conceding runs at 7.97 an over. He was also the Player of the Match in that final against DC with figures of 3 for 30.

- Boult was bought back by MI for INR 12.50 crore ahead of IPL 2025 after RR let him go. His association with MI stretches beyond the IPL. Even when he was with RR, Boult played for MI's teams in other franchise leagues since 2023: for MI Emirates in the ILT20, MI New York in Major League Cricket, and MI Cape Town in the SA20.
