A technically sound batter and part time seamer, Dion Myers' first stint for Zimbabwe was at the 2018 Under-19 World Cup as a 15-year-old. He then captained Zimbabwe at the Under-19 World Cup in South Africa in 2020 and made his first-class debut for Mountaineers in the Logan Cup the same year.
In May 2021, Myers was called up to the Zimbabwe A side for a series against South Africa A. He scored his maiden List A half-century in the first game of the series and made 69 in the first four-day game. That led to selection in the senior Zimbabwe team two months later for the one-off Test against Bangladesh at home where he made his debut. He made his ODI and T20I debut as well during the same series.
Not long after though, Myers took a break from cricket to go to university in the UK. He returned during a five-match T20I series at home against India in July 2024. Prior to that, he played two Logan Cup games in the 2023-24 season for Mountaineers, where he smashed 380 runs at 126.66, which included two centuries and a career-best 204 not out.
